Notice of Public Hearing and City Council Meeting
The Parsons City Council will meet Monday, April 1, 2024 at 6:00PM following the Public Comment from 5:45 PM, for its regular board meeting at the Parsons Municipal Building located at 535 Tennessee Ave South, Parsons, Tenn. 38363. The Public is invited to attend this and all meetings of the Parsons City Board.
The City of Parsons does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, or national origin. Additionally, the City of Parsons Municipal Center is handicap accessible. On May 25, 2022, a Presidential Executive Order was signed by President Biden.
As part of this executive order we are required to notify the governing body of the City of Parsons
of our intent to request property from Federal sources (to include Federal funds or grants.)
We are also required to notify our local community of requests for property transfers,
purchases from Federal funds, agencies, or subcontractors.
The posting of this notice fulfills this requirement.

Americans with Disabilities Act Grievance Procedure
This grievance procedure is established to meet the requirements of the ADA. It may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint
alleging discrimination on the basis of a disability in the provision of services, activities, programs, or benefits by the City of Parsons.
This complaint should be in writing and contain information about the alleged discrimination such as name, address, phone number, email
address of complaint and location, date, and description of the problem. Alternative means of filing complaints, such as personal interviews
or a tape recording of the complaint will be made available for persons with disabilities upon request.
This complaint should be submitted as soon as possible, preferably within 60 calender days of the alleged violation to:

Within 15 calendar days after receipt of the complaint, ADA Coordinator will meet with the complainant to discuss the complaint and the possible
resolutions. Within 15 calendar days of the meeting, ADA Coordinator will respond in writing, and where appropriate, in format that is accessible
to the complainant, such as large print, Braille, or audio tape. The response will explain the position of the City of Parsons and offer options
for substantive resolution of the complaint.
If the response by ADA does not satisfactorily resolve the issue, the complainant may appeal the decision withing 15 calendar days after receipt
of the response to the Mayor of City of Parsons or designee.
Within 15 calendar days after receipt of the appeal, the Mayor of City of Parsons or designee will meet with the complainant to discuss the
complaint and possible resolutions. Within 15 calendar days after the meeting, the Mayor of City of Parsons or designee will respond in writing,
and, where appropriate, in a format that is accessible to the complainant, with final resolution of complaint.
